After reading the first book, I wanted to give the author a chance to bring the stories to a successful conclusion. The conclusion of the Monique and Ty story was just too far fetched and drawn out. The story concerning the serial killer was just plain clumsy. The gay couple was just added with no rhyme or reason.Product details

The first book was attention grabbing. This one was just as annoying and hard to follow. Way too many storylines competing for attention. And Monique could not possibly be that naive. I am done with this series. I cannot wade thru anymore.
I have just finished reading "A Quiet Storm Book II. The author Bernice McWilliams did not disappoint. This book picked up right were the other ended. The story line and all the characters flowed smoothly. I'm eagerly waiting for book III. About the Mansfields. Keep up the good work. A fan for life.
Ms. McWilliams is a great storyteller. I enjoyed not only book II but book I as well. I love the idea of love, suspense, the history lessons, and the possibility of spins-off from the many different interesting characters all rolled into a great story. I could not stop reading until I knew what was going to happen with Monique and Tyrone. I anxiously await to read more stories from Ms. McWilliams in particular on Nikko, Brad or Les. KUDOS for a job well done.
